About the role

Corrections professionals who foster a humane and secure environment and ensure public safety by preparing individuals for successful reentry into our communities. Serves as the Case Management Coordinator (CMC) at a Bureau of Prisons (BOP) federal correctional institution. Assists the institution's administration by maintaining a current knowledge of available correctional programs techniques and resources, which includes the areas of case/unit/correctional systems management, in order to provide technically accurate assistance, guidance and information to staff concerning local correctional programs policies in the institution. Develops and issues local program policies and procedures as required which includes the formulation of institution supplements to ensure BOP policies are properly implemented at the institutional level in the areas of case/unit/ and correctional systems management. Along with all other correctional institution employees, incumbent is charged with responsibility for maintaining security of the institution. The staff correctional responsibilities precede all others required by this position and are performed on a regular and recurring basis.
