This position is located in the Industrial Hygiene and Campus Safety Branch (IHCSB), Division of Safety (DS), Office of Research Services (ORS), Office of the Director (OD), National Institutes of Health (NIH), Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). If you are knowledgeable and talented in the area of developing occupational safety and health policy, consider joining our branch. You qualify at the GS-13 level, if you meet one of the following qualification requirements: You must demonstrate in your resume at least one (1) year of qualifying experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector, performing the following types of tasks: 1) comprehensive safety and industrial hygiene programs for complex industrial operations; 2) conducting safety surveys and compliance inspections to identify hazards and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and other Federal safety standards; 3) developing and delivering occupational health and safety training programs; 4) providing expert consultation to management on safety and health matters including facility design and operations; 5) preparing technical reports and policy recommendations based on safety assessments and regulatory requirements. You will receive credit for all experience material to the position, including experience gained in religious, civic, welfare, service, and organizational activities, regardless of whether you received pay.
