IB Analyst / Associate - Digital Infra & Telecoms - Selby Jennings

About the role

As an Analyst or Associate, you will play a pivotal role in the execution of complex transactions and the origination of new business opportunities. Key responsibilities include: Transaction execution across M&A (buy-side and sell-side), capital raises, and strategic advisory mandates within the digital infrastructure and telecoms sectors. Financial modelling and valuation , including DCF, LBO, project finance, and trading/transaction comparables tailored to infrastructure-style assets. Preparation of marketing and pitch materials , information memoranda, management presentations, and board-level documents. Industry research and analysis , developing deep sector expertise across fibre, towers, data centres, and emerging digital infrastructure subsectors. Direct client interaction with sponsors, corporates, and institutional investors, supporting senior bankers in origination and relationship management. Mentoring and reviewing the work of junior team members (Associate level). Candidate Profile We are looking for high-calibre individuals with the following: 1-5 years of relevant experience in investment banking, infrastructure advisory, project finance, or a closely related field (digital infra/telecoms exposure strongly preferred). Strong academic background from a top-tier university, ideally in finance, economics, engineering, or a related quantitative discipline. Excellent financial modelling and analytical skills , with proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and core valuation methodologies. Strong commercial awareness and genuine interest in the digital infrastructure and telecoms sectors. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills , with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Attention to detail, strong work ethic , and the ability to manage multiple workstreams under tight deadlines.
