The Field Senior Manager leads the IRC's response efforts in the BML-South, including providing operational oversight of all program centers and shelters, and management guidance to ensure efficiency, coverage and quality programming. As the IRC's most senior representative in the field, the Field Senior Manager must bring a senior leadership profile with a proven track record in managing emergencies and displaced populations programming. The successful candidate should be able to represent IRC with partners including beneficiaries, donors and community leaders, as well as handle sensitive, complex issues in a diplomatic way that puts the needs of the beneficiaries first. This includes direct management of field level support staff, while supporting day-to-day management and coordination of program staff (Management in Partnerships with the relevant Program Coordinators). She/ He will be responsible for ensuring the effective and dynamic running of the project sites, provide guidance for operations and as well as regional coordination and representation within the area of operation. The Senior Field Manager will also lead and accompany field visits done by Country Program visitors including international donors in managed areas as needed and requested. Major Responsibilities: Management: Lead day-to-day field-level coordination across programs and operations in BML-South. Hold regular coordination meetings to review priorities, challenges, and follow-up actions. Support area-based planning and implementation in coordination with program and operational leads. Actively contribute to access strategy development and implementation, response planning, proposal development, and adaptation of operational priorities in line with field realities. Support partner engagement in BML-South in coordination with the Partnerships team and relevant colleagues. Ensure timely escalation of implementation, staffing, operational, and coordination issues requiring senior management attention. Safety and Security Work closely with the Humanitarian Access and Safety/Security team to ensure compliance with security procedures and protocols in the area of operation. Support security analysis, risk identification, and contextual monitoring for BML-South. Ensure staff are appropriately briefed on safety and security procedures relevant to their work. Promptly report incidents and support field-level critical incident management and follow-up as required. Contribute to contingency planning and operational adaptation based on security developments. Financial Management: Support sound budget monitoring and operational spending follow-up in coordination with finance, grants, and relevant coordinators. Contribute to cash planning, budget reviews, and reforecasts related to BML-South activities. Ensure field teams understand and comply with relevant IRC financial procedures and controls. Flag budget, spending, or compliance concerns in a timely manner to relevant colleagues. Actively contribute to the development and reforecast of the Annual Operational Budget to ensure BML-South Field costs are adequately captured Administration and Facilities, Supply Chain Management & Reporting Coordinate with supply chain and operations colleagues to support timely procurement, logistics, and service delivery for BML-South activities. Ensure operational follow-up on key support needs affecting implementation. Contribute to regular internal reporting on field priorities, constraints, and progress. Support compliance with IRC procedures and promptly raise operational risks or irregularities. Ensure spot-checks are done systematically, documented and reported for all IRC assets, inventory and equipment. Ensure all Facilities trackers are updated and all facilities rental contracts are renewed on time and payments issued as per contracts in line with IRC processes and policies. Grant Planning & Implementation Support implementation of grants in BML-South by ensuring field realities, constraints, and priorities are reflected in day-to-day planning and follow-up. Monitor progress and raise any issues affecting delivery, timelines, or quality. Contribute to adjustments
