Responsibilities
- Manage project execution to deliver on or ahead of contract schedule and within budget
- Provide input into site logistics planning including amenities, traffic management, cranage, security, and waste management
- Execute delegated construction projects in line with company policies and Project Manager directives
- Ensure subcontractors complete work per scope, schedule, and quality requirements
- Obtain and review Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS) from subcontractors before site commencement
- Conduct regular inspections to verify subcontractor work conforms to specifications, drawings, and QA checklists
- Coordinate storage and handling of company and subcontractor materials and goods on site
- Develop and maintain comprehensive understanding of all project drawings, specifications, and specialist trade contractor shop drawings
- Collaborate with Project Engineer to implement and monitor the Quality Assurance (QA) plan throughout the project
- Continuously review construction methods and site performance to optimize trade contractor coordination and adherence to planned activities
- Contribute to look-ahead programmes including procurement schedules and communicate updates to project team and subcontractors
- Maintain accurate daily site diaries documenting progress, events, and any extra work causes
- Ensure all work complies with WHS Act, AHS Regulations, EPA Act, and relevant Codes of Practice, promoting safety and environmental awareness among all personnel on site
- Maintain detailed records of daily events, subcontractor requests for information or clarifications, and progress works
- Complete projects in accordance with the Project Execution Plan
- Foster and maintain positive client and subcontractor relationships through effective communication and collaboration
- Maintain records, drawings, programmes, and site diaries per company procedures
- Promote harmonious team relations through supervision, communication, coaching, and mentoring
- Propose and communicate process improvement ideas with a constructive attitude, encouraging the same in others
- Assist in tender preparation as required
- Requisition minor materials and consumables efficiently
- Utilize planned resources effectively to maximize productivity
- Represent the company professionally and maintain harmonious relationships with clients and their representatives
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Project Manager or company leadership
