We're hiring a Public Cloud Assistant Infrastructure Engineer to join our Public Cloud Services Lab , supporting the design and delivery of secure, scalable cloud platforms across Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) . About the team The Public Cloud Services Lab delivers centrally managed cloud services focused on: Security, resilience, and scalability Infrastructure as Code and automation Platform engineering and developer enablement AI-driven efficiency and modern cloud tooling We build reusable, easy-to-consume cloud platforms that help teams deliver and scale services quickly. Key responsibilities *Assist in designing, building and operating cloud infrastructure and platform capabilities *Support delivery using Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and CI/CD pipelines *Help implement secure-by-design principles across cloud environments *Contribute to observability, monitoring, and performance optimisation *Support incident management and root cause analysis for live cloud systems *Enable API-first delivery through reusable patterns and integration tooling *Work with engineers and architects to evolve cloud platforms and services *Contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing across the team What we're looking for Core skills *Experience or exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, GCP or AWS) *Understanding of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred) and automation concepts *Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices *Understanding of containers and orchestration (Kubernetes) *Scripting skills in Python, Bash or PowerShell *Knowledge of cloud fundamentals (compute, networking, identity & access management) Strong problem-solving mindset and desire to learn Cloud knowledge (GCP exposure preferred) Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) Cloud Load Balancing Cloud Armor Cloud Monitoring / Stackdriver Desirable experience API management (e.g. Apigee) CI/CD tooling (e.g. Harness, GitHub Actions) Monitoring tools (e.g. Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana) Container tooling (Docker, Buildah, Podman) *Exposure to Node.js or API tooling *Relevant cloud certifications (Azure, GCP, AWS) Why join us?
