Responsibilities

  • Data Privacy & Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with global and regional data privacy laws (e.g., GDPR, DPDP Act, CCPA).
  • Translate privacy requirements into processes, controls, and system configurations.
  • Conduct privacy impact assessments and maintain documentation.
  • Monitor HR systems and processes for compliance with data protection standards.
  • Lead remediation activities for any privacy gaps or violations.
  • Prepare for, support, and coordinate internal audits, external audits, and SOX compliance reviews.
  • Collect evidence, analyze findings, and support remediation closures.
  • Ensure HR systems follow ITGC controls, user access standards, and audit protocols.
  • Maintain audit logs, documentation, and governance records.
  • System Compliance & Release Management
  • Coordinate with HR Technology teams to ensure system releases (e.g., Workday) align with compliance standards.
  • Support testing cycles to validate privacy controls during system updates.
  • Review change requests to ensure adherence to SDLC and change management standards.
  • Stakeholder Management & Training
  • Partner with HR, IT Security, Legal, and business leads to enforce privacy governance.
  • Conduct awareness sessions on privacy practices, data handling, and compliance updates.
  • Provide guidance on data policies, audit findings, and process improvements.
  • Act as a subject matter expert on HR data protection and audit practices.
  • Reporting & Analytics
  • Maintain dashboards, compliance reports, and audit tracking metrics.
  • Present insights, risks, and recommendations to leadership.
  • Monitor data trends, exceptions, and recurring issues.
  • Required Education, Experience, and Skills
  • Required Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in HR, IT, Compliance, Data Management, or related field.
  • 3-7 years of experience in data privacy, compliance, HR technology, HRIS, audits and Risk Assessments.
  • Strong understanding of privacy regulations (GDPR, DPDP Act, CCPA, etc.).
  • Experience supporting audits (internal, external, SOX, ITGC).
  • Knowledge of HR system data flows, access models, and data governance.
  • Exposure to system change management and SDLC processes.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential data with sensitivity and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel, reporting tools, and governance frameworks.
