Responsibilities
- Lead and drive site EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) programs in line with company goals and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement EHS plans, initiatives, and resource allocation to support safe and compliant operations.
- Oversee risk assessments and hazard identification activities across manufacturing processes, equipment, chemicals, and operations.
- Ensure effective implementation of risk control measures, corrective actions, and accident prevention programs.
- Manage customer, regulatory, and certification audits, serving as the main EHS point of contact.
- Lead investigation of incidents, near misses, and safety concerns, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Maintain and improve EHS management systems in compliance with standards such as ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
- Ensure compliance with local EHS regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
- Promote a strong safety culture through training, awareness programs, emergency drills, and employee engagement activities.
- Liaise with government authorities and support EHS reporting and regulatory submissions.
- Provide EHS guidance and technical support to site operations and project teams.
- Build, lead, and develop the EHS team through coaching, performance management, and capability development.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance workplace safety, environmental performance, and operational excellence.
Requirements
- Master's degree or related qualifications with more than 10 years of relevant work
- experience in large pharmaceutical, Chemical engineering, safety or environmental-related fields.
- Preferably a Certified Safety Professional, MOM Registered Workplace Safety Health
- Officer and Occupational Hygienist preferred
- Possess excellent communication skills to articulate and share vision, goals, plans,
- strategies, and values to influence the team in achieving desired objectives.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex situation, identify
- roof causes & implement practical solutions.
- Strong leadership and able to lead by example and have a strong sense of
- responsibility and can withstand strong work pressure with given timeline.
- Native fluency in both English and Chinese to lead meetings and author technical
- documentations, and collaborate with stakeholders in Singapore and China.
