About the role
To strengthen our CAA Brand Consulting team in Munich, we are looking for a Director (m/f/d) in the field of Business Development with focus on International. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who can juggle multiple projects and thrives in a changing, fast-paced, commercial and creative environment. This is not a traditional sales role; we are not cold calling brands or selling sponsorship rights. This is a strategic business development role within our international Brand Consulting team. We act as a consultant to prospects to understand their challenges and develop strategies to identify and amplify their role within culture. The candidate must therefore be a capable and confident operator with experience developing and implementing marketing plans and highly motivated in creating and maintaining relationships internationally - supported by a well-established network across brands and rightsholders within the global sports and entertainment space. We're looking for an enthusiastic, personable self-starter with the ability to develop proposals, pitches, manage relationships and business pipelines with key prospects, and internal stakeholders; as well as displaying a 'can do' attitude to working across all business functions, both internal and external. As our international CAA Brand Consulting business continues to grow, the individual will also work on additional strategic growth projects.
Responsibilities
- As Director, Business Development at CAA Brand Consulting, your role will focus on two main areas:
- Opportunity Development
- Learn and understand CAA Brand Consulting's capabilities & brand strategies
- Liaise with colleagues globally to leverage the wider CAA network
- Contribute to the achievement of the yearly international business commercial target
- Collaborate with the wider business to develop pitch decks which clearly align the brand value proposition with prospect's interests and capabilities
- Work with our internal Business Affairs, Finance and Business Operations team to get to the execution of deals in the quickest and smoothest possible way
- Owning the pipeline: Convert prospects into clients through developing impactful and effective proposals and pitches, which you present in calls and in person
- Manage and lead prospect pitch processes and RFI & RFP responses working together with our Functions such as Creative, Design and Strategy
- Present CAA Brand Consulting at various national and international conferences, actively generating new business leads
- Act as a consultant, advising and guiding the prospective client on best practice and processes
- Strategic Development of International Growth Opportunities
- Develop and lead the international business development strategy for CAA Brand Consulting unlocking new strategic opportunities
- Strategically identify priority targets and focus topics and develop structured strategies and roadmaps to effectively reach them
- Join regular internal meetings to discuss prospect opportunities and strategies
- Keep all stakeholders up to date on all conversations we are having on their behalf
- QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
- Significant agency, consulting or in-house experience with a proven track record in a similar role
