Prototype Test Engineer- Electromechanical/Manufacturing

Requirements

• 8 years of related experience preferably in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Test Engineering or related
• 3-5 years of relevant experience is preferred
• Previous test experience in a manufacturing or R & D environment is preferred
• Knowledge with metrology of fluid systems is a plus
• experience with Linux or other scripting languages preferred
• Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
• Detailed knowledge and use of key development tools and design standards: 3D CAD, Finite Element Analysis, Tolerances, Manufacturing Principles, Interference Checks
• Broad knowledge developing high complexity projects that have required one of more of Mechanical Engineering Design specializations or competencies: Tolerance Analysis, DFM, Serviceability
• Leads ME projects with multiple engineers assigned.
• Leads cross-functional and ME design reviews
• Detailed knowledge (with moderate complexity) of Industry or specific sector, regulatory and safety standards.
• Influence others and share best practices
• Effectively communicate with good understanding of English
• Work as part of a global team
• Assess a project and articulating risk while developing project milestones.
• Develop projects in a stage-gate process (PLCQ)
• Mentor less experienced engineers

Job Description The Prototype Test Engineer is responsible for developing equipment that will both ensure quality of all production products as well as validate design goals. This engineer will need to have a fundamental understanding of how the cold plate function and work in order to develop these test systems. They will be responsible to design, develop and maintain test procedures, tester hardware, and software for production. This is an electromechanical role. What will you do? Review designs for testability requirements. Support manufacturing with failure analysis, tester debugging, reduction of intermittent failures and downtime of test equipment. Prepare recommendations for testing and documentation of procedures to be used from the product design phase through to initial production. Generate reports and analysis of test data, prepares documentation and recommendations Review test equipment designs, data and RMA issues with customers regularly Design, and direct engineering and technical personnel in fabrication of testing and test control apparatus and equipment Analyze and interpret test data and prepares technical reports for use by test engineering and management personnel Develop or use computer software and hardware to conduct tests on machinery and equipment. position and as directed by supervisor Comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy How will you get here?
