As a Court Security Supervisor, you will play a crucial leadership role in the delivery of security services and daily security operations.
Responsibilities
- Through effective leadership you will foster a culture of professionalism, safety, and continuous improvement amongst your team of security officers.
- Monitor and manage courtroom security during hearings, ensuring a secure environment within the Magistrates Court.
- Ensure all procedures and protocols are followed in line with MSS Security and client expectations.
- Respond to and manage security incidents, emergencies, and critical events.
- Liaise professionally with Magistrates Court staff, stakeholders, and visitors.
- Screen individuals entering the court building and ensure all security protocols are followed.
- Respond promptly and appropriately to incidents involving disruptive or aggressive behaviour.
- Work collaboratively with court staff and law enforcement to manage high-risk situations.
- Ideal candidates will have:
- Prior experience in security, law enforcement or correctional facilities preferably in a high-profile or government environment.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to supervise, drive and mentor team members.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment.
- A professional approach and high standards of personal presentation.
Requirements
- Full Australian working rights.
- Valid Tasmanian Security licence.
- Valid First Aid and CPR certificates.
- Working With Vulnerable People (or willing to obtain).
- Willing to undergo and pass a National Criminal History check.
