Requirements
- Graduate of Personal Support Worker (PSW) Certificate/Diploma Program.
- Meet the vocational standards established by the Ministry of Training, Colleges, and Universities.
- Meet the standards established by the National Association of Career Colleges.
- Meet the standards established by the Ontario Community Support Association.
- Knowledge of procedures and techniques involved in administering simple treatments and related bedside care to residents. Must understand the basics of good sanitation and clean techniques. Knowledgeable with respect to the needs of geriatric residents.
