Finance Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the full set of accounts and deliver accurate financial reporting to support management decisions
• Oversee project costing, work-in-progress (WIP), revenue recognition, and profitability analysis to optimize project financial outcomes
• Control progress claims, subcontractor payments, and retention sums to ensure financial accuracy and compliance
• Monitor cash flow, budgets, and overall financial performance across multiple projects for effective resource allocation
• Ensure compliance with GST, tax, and regulatory requirements to maintain legal and financial integrity
• Liaise with auditors, tax agents, banks, and external stakeholders to facilitate smooth financial operations
• Strengthen and maintain internal controls and financial governance to mitigate risks and enhance accountability
• Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team to build capability and drive performance
• Required competencies and certifications
• Degree/Diploma in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent
• Minimum 5-8 years of relevant experience with strong exposure in the construction or engineering sector
• Solid understanding of project accounting, WIP, and contract costing
• Proven experience managing progress billing, project budgets, and financial forecasting
• Strong knowledge of Singapore financial regulations, GST, and taxation
• Preferred competencies and qualifications
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under pressure
• Demonstrated leadership, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills
