About the role

Specialized Experience In addition to the basic requirements above, applicants must have 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, GS-12, in the Federal Service. This one year of specialized experience must be in or related to the field of economics and must have equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, judgment, and technical competence in order to successfully perform the duties of the position to be filled. This experience must demonstrate a thorough understanding of economic principles and theories and a wide knowledge of current economic factors and their implications. Qualifying specialized experience include: Leading data collection projects that require planning, information assembly, analysis and evaluation, conclusions, and report preparation Completing projects using Agile development processes; serving as a tester and product owner; providing recommendations for system improvements to meet program objectives Communicating with different levels of officials within/outside the organization through formal or informal meetings and trainings, and giving presentations explaining complex program issues and technical economic/statistical information Serving on matrix teams, developing project plans, completing complex tasks, negotiating outcomes, and meeting tight deadlines Querying databases and creating data visualizations
