We're seeking an exceptional, forward-thinking leader to step into the role of Head of MAC NZ, a career-defining opportunity to lead a high-performing national division and influence the future of agribusiness banking. About the role | Mō te tūranga This is more than a leadership position, it's an opportunity to take ownership of a strategically significant portfolio and lead a national business. As Head of MAC NZ, you will lead our Mid & Large Agribusiness Clients (MAC) segment. You will shape strategy, drive disciplined and sustainable growth, and deliver exceptional outcomes for clients, people, communities and performance. You will operate at the forefront of the agribusiness sector, where strategy meets execution, leading a high-performing team, partnering across the bank to deliver seamless end-to-end client solutions, and staying closely connected to the market to support growth. You will be supported by senior leadership roles across credit and relationship analysts enabling you to remain actively in market with MAC Managers, to deepen client relationships and identify new opportunities. You will also work closely with MAC Australia to share market intelligence, align priorities and leverage trans-Tasman best practice. Key responsibilities include: Leading strategy, performance and growth across our Mid & Large Agribusiness Clients (MAC ) portfolio. Owning the financial performance, business planning and commercial outcomes for the division. Building and deepening high-value client relationships across New Zealand. Maintaining strong market intelligence across the agribusiness sector and translating insights into growth opportunities. Driving credit excellence, risk management and portfolio quality. Championing the responsible use of data, analytics and artificial intelligence to enhance client insights, productivity and disciplined decision-making. Partnering across Rabobank NZ and with MAC Australia to deliver strong client, portfolio and performance outcomes. Contributing to the Country Banking NZ strategy and Rabobank's broader Australia, New Zealand and global vision. You'll sit at the leadership table, influencing direction while ensuring exceptional client outcomes, strong team growth and performance, and sustainable business growth. About you | Ō pūkenga We are seeking a strategic, commercially astute leader who inspires high-performing teams, builds strong partnerships and delivers sustainable growth with integrity and a customer-first mindset. This role requires a proven senior professional with deep expertise in agribusiness or corporate/wholesale banking, combined with a genuine passion for leading people, being active in market and delivering results. You'll bring: Extensive leadership experience, ideally 10+ years , within complex banking or agribusiness environments. A strong track record of commercial delivery, P&L ownership and portfolio growth. Strong capability in credit structuring, financial analysis and risk management. Proven ability to influence at all levels, from clients to executive stakeholders. Strong market intelligence across the New Zealand agribusiness sector, including client, competitor, industry and regional insights. A natural ability to coach, mentor and develop high-performing teams. Experience building a culture of collaboration, inclusion and excellence. The ability to build strong partnerships across the bank and with MAC Australia. Deep understanding of the rural sector and full agribusiness value chain.
