A smile and warm greeting is what our Guests will receive when staying at Fairmont San Francisco. As a Doorperson, your engaging personality will make a lasting impression when our Guests arrive at the hotel. Reporting to the Guest Services Manager, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following: Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service Open car doors for arriving and departing guests while greeting them warmly Assist with the loading and unloading of luggage to and from guest vehicles Assist guests regarding hotel facilities in an informative and helpful way Follow departmental policies, procedures and service standards Follow all safety policies Other duties as assigned Previous customer related experience an asset Excellent communication skills and a professional presentation Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities Highly responsible & reliable Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment Ability to work cohesively with fellow colleagues as part of a team Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times Physical Aspects of Position (include but are not limited to): Constant standing and walking throughout shift Frequent lifting and carrying up to 30 lbs Occasional kneeling, pushing, pulling Occasional ascending or descending ladders, stairs and ramps Exposure to hot surfaces. Hourly Rate: $26.44 per hour Visa Requirements: Must have proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
