About the role
Komainu is expanding its operations function in Singapore as part of its growth across Asia Pacific - a market where institutional demand for regulated digital asset custody is accelerating rapidly. The Administration Operations team sits at the heart of how Komainu serves its clients, responsible for the onboarding, ongoing maintenance and servicing of custody accounts. This role offers the opportunity to build deep expertise in digital asset operations at a firm that is defining what institutional-grade custody looks like, working closely with clients, compliance and technology teams in a fast-moving and consequential environment. Your key responsibilities - Oversee the end-to-end client account opening process, ensuring accuracy of setup and a consistently high standard of client experience - Collaborate with the Sales team to prioritise onboarding pipelines and provide clients with regular transparent progress updates - Manage and monitor ongoing client requests including the effective handling and resolution of exceptions on a daily basis - Investigate issues raised by clients or internal stakeholders, escalating to management or Compliance for guidance where necessary - Escalate operational issues and control breaches to Operations Management, Compliance and IT teams in a timely manner - Maintain a strong working knowledge of Komainu's products and processes to ensure effective support across all operational activities - Identify control gaps, inefficiencies and areas for improvement across operational processes and recommend appropriate remediation actions - Support the identification, testing and implementation of updates to business processes and systems in response to industry changes or evolving client needs Skills and attributes for success - Strong analytical capability - able to assess risk, identify process gaps and translate findings into clear actionable recommendations - High attention to detail and a disciplined approach to accuracy, particularly in client account setup and transaction processing - Clear and concise communicator, both in writing and verbally - able to engage confidently with clients and internal stakeholders - Organised and proactive - manages multiple priorities effectively and escalates issues promptly without being prompted - Collaborative andclient-focused - works well across teams and takes genuine ownership of the client experience - Genuine curiosity about digital assets and fintech - motivated by working at the frontier of institutional finance To qualify for the role, you must have - Degree in a relevant discipline such as sciences, engineering, business, economics or similar - ability to demonstrate analytical and process thinking is important - Experience in financial services operations in one or more of the following areas: banking, trust or fund services, transaction processing, custody support, clearing and settlements, or business analysis - Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel - An interest in digital assets and fintech is essential - prior exposure to digital asset operations or custody is a strong advantage - Experience working in a regulated environment with an understanding of compliance and control frameworks is preferred What we look for We are looking for an early-career operations professional who combines strong analytical foundations with a genuine interest in digital assets and the drive to build expertise in a rapidly evolving field.
