One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service: Conducting independent research, analysis, and evaluation of data to respond to complex legal requests, which includes drafting briefs, pleadings, and litigation recommendations to support attorneys. Demonstrating proficiency in executing ethics programs by advising personnel on the application of ethics statutes, reviewing confidential and public financial disclosure reports, and recommending corrective actions for potential conflict of interest violations. Experience examining a wide variety of legal documents, managing information via electronic or manual filing systems to prepare formal leadership recommendations, and designing ethics training courses and materials for various organizational levels. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.
