About the role
We are looking for an in vivo research associate to independently execute routine animal care, husbandry, and facility maintenance to support research activities and maintain a high-quality laboratory environment. Responsibilities
- Maintain high standards of animal welfare and report any health concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Husbandry in laboratory mice including: cage changing, provide food and water, provide housing and enrichment. Receive, house, and inspect incoming mice.
- Routinely and accurately fill out laboratory records including: daily animal health checks, room temperature/humidity readings, cleaning/husbandry, and facility maintenance.
- Cleaning and maintenance of a pathogen free animal research facility.
- Perform routine removal and disposal of multiple waste streams, including biohazardous waste, ensuring proper labeling and compliance.
- Restock supplies.
- Communicate using Microsoft Outlook and Teams.
- Follow protocols and operate equipment with training such as: changing stations, autoclave, and hydrogen peroxide vaporizer.
- Comply with safety requirements such as PPE and biohazardous waste disposal.
- Familiarity with Zoom and Studylog a plus.

- $67,000 - $81,000 USD
