About the role
Duties and responsibilities: We are currently seeking to hire a senior qualified lawyer, admitted in England & Wales, who can join us to support our International Disputes Group with business development and client origination. An in depth understanding of the offshore construction industry in the region is key. Beyond business development, the consultant will be expected to undertake billable work with an emphasis on offshore construction and shipbuilding disputes. It is essential that this individual has prior experience working with a reputable law firm advising on complex arbitrations related to offshore EPC contracts and shipbuilding. Additionally, a proven track record of serving as an in-house counsel for relevant industry organizations would be highly beneficial building on and developing new relationships in the region. This background would further support our efforts and ensure a strong foundation for both client service and business development. King & Spalding Singapore background: For more than a decade, our Singapore office has been an Asia-Pacific hub supporting our clients on many of the most complex and high-value transactions and disputes in the region. Our teams and our partners in Singapore have decades of experience advising clients on cross-border transactions and disputes throughout Asia-Pacific, across a range of sectors including energy, infrastructure, asset management, financial services and technology.
