Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Biology, Life Sciences, or a related field
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant research experience (required)
  • Demonstrated experience in cell culture, including immortalized cell lines (required)
  • Hands-on experience with standard molecular and biochemical techniques, including Western blot, protein extraction, and DNA/RNA extraction (required)
  • Experience with iPSC culture (strongly preferred)
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Professional proficiency in English, written and spoken
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office

The Laboratory of Professor Edward Fon is looking for a Research Assistant to join a research team investigating the molecular and pathological mechanisms underlying Parkinson's disease (PD). The Research Assistant will carry out experiments using established protocols, including work with immortalized cell lines and induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) models. Experimental approaches will span high-content imaging CRISPR screens, cell-based assays, omics approaches, and standard molecular and biochemical techniques.
