Inspects parts for defects and material handling damage Scrapes or rubs parts with file, wire brush, or buffing cloth Mounts tools on revolving spindle for abrasive finishing and deburring. Able to change out tooling such as rubberized abrasives and bench grinder abrasive wheels as needed Holds part against deburring / grinding wheel to deburr tube surfaces or grind weld beads Deburrs or polishes parts Operates Dremel with Scotchbrite or abrasive wheel to polish parts Uses Flex-hone (Wire-brush) when indicated on operational instructions Operates hand held Die-Grinder Uses Compressed Air to ensure interior and exterior of parts are blown off after polishing Operate Grit Blast Cabinet The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Employee must pass the respirator medical evaluation and respirator fit test prior to performing any duties and on an annual basis thereafter. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to wear a respirator on average 8 hours a day. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. Consistently, regularly and predictably at work and on time Other duties may be assigned as needed High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
