About the role

Join the U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Shared Service Center! We're looking for talented professionals to help deliver solutions that support federal agencies nationwide. As a Supervisory Human Resources Specialist you will you will lead the Core HCM Account Management team, oversee customer and stakeholder engagement, manage program resources, and drive implementation, change management, and performance initiatives supporting government-wide human capital solutions. For the GS 14: You must have You must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service or equivalent, performing all of the following: Managing programs or projects designed to address human resources (HR) needs, such as reviewing agency policy and making recommendations, researching and evaluating HRIT systems in meeting customer needs, etc.; AND Applying technical knowledge of HR-related laws, regulations, policies, and best business practices to promote effective, efficient, and legally-defensible strategic HR solutions to be implemented by stakeholders; AND Communicating complex HR-related issues and recommended solutions to stakeholders (for example, HR professionals, hiring managers, applicants, IT professionals, agency leadership, etc.) with varying degrees of technical expertise and familiarity with these issues; AND Managing program or project budget(s) to include experience negotiating funding with management or agency officials and monitoring budget progression including overages or underutilization; AND Managing resources (for example, financials, staff, schedules, etc.) for program(s) or project(s) to ensure product and service delivery occurs within budgeted amounts. Merit promotion applicants must meet the time-in-grade requirement as defined in 5 CFR 300, Subpart F. One year at GS-13 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS14 level. You must meet all qualification and eligibility requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
