All that we're missing is you. Apply today! Reworld is seeking a dynamic and experienced Area Health & Safety Manager to support multiple facilities within an assigned region. This position plays a critical role in driving a strong safety culture by leading the implementation of corporate safety programs, supporting compliance efforts, and partnering with field leadership to improve safety performance. This role requires a hands-on, field-based leader who can influence operations, mentor site safety personnel, and ensure alignment with Reworld's safety standards. The Area Health & Safety Manager will focus on reducing incidents, strengthening leading indicators, supporting industrial hygiene programs, and advancing continuous improvement initiatives across the region.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Facility and Regional Leadership to support and strengthen a culture of safety and accountability
  • Implement and reinforce corporate safety standards, procedures, and programs across assigned facilities
  • Conduct routine safety audits and assessments; track findings and drive corrective actions to closure
  • Support and coach site safety personnel and operational leaders on safety practices and program execution
  • Assist with development and delivery of safety training materials, programs, and communications
  • Lead or support industrial hygiene monitoring programs and medical surveillance activities
  • Participate in outage planning and execution with a focus on high-risk safety activities and field presence
  • Support accident and near-miss investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective action development
  • Contribute to OSHA VPP efforts, including certification and recertification activities
  • Provide guidance on hazard identification, PPE evaluation, ergonomics, and control measures
  • Support contractor safety management and ensure compliance with company and regulatory standards
  • Track and report safety performance metrics and support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Knowledge, Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field preferred
  • Equivalent industrial experience considered
  • CSP (Certified Safety Professional) or CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist) Preferred
  • Minimum of 5+ years of safety and health experience in an industrial environment
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations and applicable standards
  • Experience supporting safety programs in operations-heavy environments
  • Strong leadership and influencing skills across multiple facilities and teams
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both field personnel and senior leadership
  • Experience conducting safety audits, assessments, and program evaluations
  • Knowledge of industrial hygiene, medical surveillance, and exposure monitoring
  • Proven ability to lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action development
  • Strong organizational and project management capabilities
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities across a geographically dispersed region
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
  • Willingness to travel and support operations during non-routine hours as needed
  • Work Environment & Physical Requirements
  • Industrial environment with exposure to heat, cold, noise, and operational hazards
  • Ability to walk, stand, climb ladders, and work at heights or in confined spaces
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to wear required PPE, including respiratory and fall protection
