Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree, required
  • 15+ years of experience in IT, data, analytics, or digital leadership within complex healthcare environments, required
  • 10+ years of IT or business leadership, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
  • Proven success leading large-scale data and AI transformations
  • Deep expertise in data governance, analytics platforms, and AI/ML applications
  • Strong financial and operational acumen, including capital planning and ROI realization
  • Demonstrated ability to influence executive stakeholders and drive cross-functional alignment
  • Executive presence with experience advising senior leadership and Boards

Baystate Health is seeking a visionary Chief Data & Artificial Intelligence Officer (CDAIO) to lead the enterprise data, analytics, and AI strategy for a mission-driven healthcare system. This is a transformative executive role responsible for harnessing the power of data and artificial intelligence to improve patient outcomes, advance health equity, enhance operational performance, and accelerate value-based care across Baystate Health New England. RESPONSIBILITIES: The Chief Data & Artificial Intelligence Officer will define and execute a bold enterprise vision for data and AI-balancing innovation with governance, scalability, and real-world clinical impact. Partnering closely with executive leaders across IT, clinical, and operational domains, you will build a culture where data is trusted, accessible, and actionable-and where AI is deployed responsibly to drive measurable outcomes.
