This position serves as the Lead Proctor and a central facilitator of a positive, student-centered experience within the Testing Center. The role is responsible for coordinating secure and efficient testing operations, including training test proctors, administering exams, managing test materials, and resolving technical and procedural issues. In addition to operational responsibilities, the position plays a key role in guiding students through the placement process by providing clear communication about testing procedures, helping students understand their placement results, and connecting them to appropriate next steps and support services. The role prioritizes proactive outreach, accessibility, and equitable testing practices, including coordination of accommodations in collaboration with the Accessibility Office. The individual also supports data collection, resolves processing discrepancies, and serves as a knowledgeable resource for students, advisors, faculty, staff, and high school partners. Through these responsibilities, the position contributes to the College's multi-measures, holistic placement approach; ongoing efforts to improve student onboarding, progression, and overall success; and supports students throughout the entire student life cycle. MAJOR JOB DUTIES Facilitate a positive, student-centered testing and placement experience by guiding students through placement testing processes, clearly communicating procedures and results, and connecting students to appropriate next steps and support services. Provide proactive outreach and ensure equitable access, including coordination of accommodations with the Accessibility Office. Administer placement tests, Bucks course exams, and external exams in accordance with established guidelines and standards, ensuring a secure, efficient, and supportive testing environment for all students. SECONDARY JOB DUTIES Develop and maintain Testing Center procedures, proctor training materials, and student- facing resources to ensure clear, consistent, and accessible communication about testing and placement processes. Maintain accurate and secure testing records, including both physical and digital test materials, ensuring compliance with institutional standards and supporting a reliable student experience. Support placement data entry and verification in student information systems to ensure timely and accurate communication of placement results and next steps for students. Track and coordinate the distribution and return of exams sent to and from external colleges and organizations, ensuring timely processing and communication. Operate and monitor testing environments and equipment (including audio/visual systems) to maintain a secure, accessible, and distraction-reduced testing experience.
