Applications are invited for an appointment as Lecturer in Health Research Methodology (full-time, permanent, type B) based in the College of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences at University of Galway. College of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences The College of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences (CMNHS) is one of four Colleges within the University of Galway and is currently comprised of four Schools; Schools of Medicine, Nursing, Midwifery and Evidence Science, Allied and Community Health and Pharmacy and Medical Sciences. Strong professional practice and clinical partnerships are core features of the CMNHS. The College has substantial and meaningful collaborations with the Saolta University Healthcare Group (Saolta), Community Healthcare Organisation Area 2 and other healthcare and voluntary agencies. The vision of the College is to create a healthy society through education, research and innovation. The College currently offers eight undergraduate health and social care degree programmes, all professionally accredited and require significant student immersion within the health service's acute and community divisions. The College also provides many postgraduate degree programmes and collaborates with the Health Service Executive (HSE), NGOs and community partners on specific professional postgraduate training programmes. The Lecturer in Health Research Methodology will become a crucial part of the College And the post is based in the School of Nursing, Midwifery and Evidence Science and contributes to the Discipline of Evidence Science and the Centre for Health Research Methodology (CHRM), which brings together the HRB-Trials Methodology Research Network, Evidence Synthesis Ireland and Cochrane Ireland. This large, complex College is known for its robust professional practice, clinical partnerships and methodological research strengths, aligning well with the role's focus on health research methodology, including evidence synthesis and trials methodology.
