About the role
We are seeking an Engineering Process Commissioning Specialist to join our team supporting the DOE's Y-12 National Security Complex at the Uranium Processing Facility ! This position is full-time and will be based out of Oak Ridge, Tennessee.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for ensuring validation and implementation of UPF safety basis and technical design requirements in preparation for readiness.
- Review technical adequacy of safety basis and safety basis support documents.
- Review technical adequacy of drawings, specifications and other design documents that implement safety basis requirements.
- Implement validation and verification of technical design requirements in drawings, specifications and other design documents.
- Verify results of acceptance testing to ensure that design criteria and safety basis requirements are adequately demonstrated.
- Lead facility and systems operational readiness by preparation and verification of readiness affirmation evidence packages.
Requirements
- Education & Years of Experience - Bachelor's Degree in Engineering/Physical Science (Chemistry Physics, or related) and 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Citizenship - To be considered, you must be a United States (U.S.) citizen due to the federal nature of the work.
- Clearance - To be considered, you must be able to obtain and maintain a government issued clearance, if needed.
- Experience in coordinating engineering effort.
- Demonstrated technical capabilities, leadership, and work ethic.
- Ability to work in a project team environment and communicate well with other disciplines, customers, and stakeholders.
