Perk Events is our newest business vertical and it's growing fast. Born from our internal incubator, we've built a tech-first approach to corporate events and group travel in a market that is ready for change We are looking for an ambitious and motivated leader for the new role of NAM Event Sales Team Manager. This is a 50/50 role - half your time will be leading and developing a team of 3 direct reports, and half your time will be carrying your own quota managing our largest customers and most complex events. We are looking for someone who has an entrepreneurial mindset - they are ready to build and thrive in the chaos of a scale-up

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of 3 Senior Event Sales Specialists - conduct weekly 121s, keep the team engaged, motivated and on track to hit targets
  • Recruit, onboard and coach a world-class Event Sales team with a strong focus on constant skill development
  • Act as a consultant to your direct reports on customer escalations and complex operational challenges
  • Carry a personal quota - own relationships with our largest NAM customers and lead on our most complex, high-value events end-to-end
  • Manage your time ruthlessly - the 50/50 manager/IC split demands strong prioritisation and the ability to context-switch without dropping the ball on either side
  • Proactively identify gaps or opportunities to improve processes - surface insights to the Head of Event Sales and agree on change initiatives
  • Quickly and effectively land change with the NAM team - share feedback to iterate fast
  • Partner with senior GTM leaders and ensure strong collaboration and buy-in with AMs and NAM Sales
  • Establish strong process to capture customer feedback, identify key insights, drive improvement initiatives and track impact
  • Share best practices and learnings with the Head of Event Sales,Product Lead and GM to ensure shared learnings across the global team
  • Identify and surface nuances in the NAM market, work with Builders to shape the product and lead a tailored approach accordingly
  • What will make you a great fit:
  • 10+ years in Event Sales, MICE, Group Travel, or Sales
  • Sales leadership experience with a proven track record of achieving targets - both personally and through a team
  • People management experience with a proven ability to engage and motivate others
  • Deep understanding of the NAM events market, customer needs and stakeholder requirements
  • Highly organised with strong time management skills - you can hold a full personal pipeline and manage a team simultaneously without either suffering
  • Proactive mindset - persistent, resilient, with a "humble & scrappy" get-it-done attitude. You thrive in the chaos of a scale-up and are creative and solution-oriented
  • Comfortable managing competing priorities and switching context quickly - this role will pull you in multiple directions and you need to be able to handle that without losing focus
  • Perfect written and spoken English. Hands-on experience creating presentations and engaging teams and stakeholders in a room
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyse and interpret performance metrics
  • Great organisational and interpersonal skills
