Responsibilities

  • Technical Leadership
  • Serve as a senior technical resource for calibration, repair, and troubleshooting.
  • Perform advanced calibrations, repairs, leak tests, and equipment rebuilds.
  • Support and validate technically complex or non‑standard work.
  • Provide technical guidance and informal training to other technicians.
  • Team Support & Coordination
  • Act as a lead technician supporting daily work assignments and workflow.
  • Assist with prioritization and coordination of service work as needed.
  • Serve as a technical escalation point for questions and problem-solving.
  • Promote consistent procedures, documentation, and quality standards.
  • Service Operations Support
  • Support daily service schedules, turnaround times, and work flow.
  • Coordinate equipment movement from intake through completion when required.
  • Ensure accurate tracking, documentation, and traceability of equipment.
  • Radiation Safety & Compliance
  • Support the Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) function.
  • Perform and oversee calibrations involving nuclear density gauges .
  • Ensure compliance with radiation safety regulations and ISO/IEC 17025 .
  • Maintain required records and support audit readiness.
  • Customer Support
  • Provide technical support for customer inquiries and service questions.
  • Assist with troubleshooting, service updates, and technical explanations as needed.
  • Quality Control
  • Review calibration data, reports, and documentation for accuracy.
  • Ensure work meets quality standards before equipment release.
  • Inventory & Logistics
  • Support inventory accuracy, equipment traceability, and material availability.
  • Assist with shipping and receiving coordination as needed.
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Identify technical or workflow inefficiencies and suggest improvements.
  • Assist with new tools, services, or procedural updates.
  • Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in calibration, technical service, or equipment repair.
  • Hands‑on experience with Nuclear Density Gauges .
  • Strong electronic and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
  • High attention to detail and ownership of work quality.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Excel and service or inventory systems.

Requirements

  • Prior Lead Technician or informal leadership experience.
  • Experience with radiation‑based equipment and safety programs.
  • ISO/IEC 17025 experience.
  • Experience with low‑voltage electronics.
  • Ability to train and support technicians through technical leadership.
