Responsibilities

  • Support projects from concept through construction- site analysis, schematic & detailed design, permitting, construction documentation, and contract administration.
  • Produce high-quality design deliverables -graphics, reports, drawings, and presentation materials.
  • Develop detailed landscape construction drawings (2D and 3D) including grading, planting, hardscape, details, and schedules.
  • Coordinate drawings with multidisciplinary teams to ensure consistency, accuracy, and constructability.

Requirements

  • Minimum Requirements
  • Degree in Landscape Architecture (BLA or MLA).+ Two (2) years of experience
  • Associate Member of the Ontario Association of Landscape Architects, working towards full membership.
  • Experienced in contributing to full project design lifecycles, with demonstrated experience producing full drawing sets for tender and construction.
  • Exposure to public realm projects such as parks, streetscapes, transit facilities, or municipal infrastructure is preferred.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite; experience with MicroStation, SketchUp, Revit, Civil 3D, Land F/X, Lumion, or similar 3D/BIM tools is an asset.
  • Preferred Requirements
  • 3+ years of professional practice in landscape architecture or urban design.
  • Experience with construction administration.

  • Strong design sense complemented by clear visual communication and presentation abilities.
  • Clear written and verbal communicator.
  • Well organized, able to manage multiple projects and timelines simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail and technical accuracy
