The successful candidate for this role will demonstrate interest and enthusiasm for visual art and culture, creating and sustaining large-scale events, learning across the lifespan, and connecting the High with Atlanta's communities. Salary : $ 76,426.98 SCHEDULE Monday-Friday position from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. on-site at the museum Alternative weekend, evening, or morning hours necessary, as required for program implementation (e.g. first and third Friday evenings, camp mornings).

Responsibilities

  • Program Planning and Implementation (55%)
  • Oversee planning and implementation of monthly High Frequency Friday and Friday Jazz programs. Collaborate across museum departments to gather feedback, evaluate processes and effectiveness.
  • Oversee museum camps-Summer, Spring Break, and Adult and Me-including expenses and revenue, logistics and communication, personnel, and content.
  • Refine the group visit experience. This includes evaluating current processes, integrating related workshops and food and beverage opportunities, overseeing budgeting and logistics, and connecting visitors to the institution.
  • Engage with programs, performances, and cultural events across Atlanta and at peer institutions, and sustain generative relationships with colleagues and institutions nationally and internationally.
  • Program Evaluation and Reporting (25%)
  • Monitor and adjust program implementation and resource delivery across Public Engagement programs for effectiveness.
  • Gather and analyze program data-including attendance, expenses, revenue, and impact-to develop changes and improvements with the Director, Public Engagement.
  • Supervision and Training (15%)
  • Supervise the Coordinator of Public Engagement in program implementation.
  • Advise the Manager of Family Programs on group visit experience, revenue, and budget.
  • Support Learning and Civic Engagement department and other duties as assigned (5%)
  • Work cross departmentally to assist and support other programs as needed.
  • Collaborate with relevant Learning and Civic Engagement divisions, including Creative Aging and Lifelong Learning, Education, and Community Dialogue and Engagement, to ensure programming is thoughtfully integrated and in tandem with other departmental offerings.
