Position Summary The Bell Hop is the first face guests see when they arrive at the hotel. He/ She is cheerful, proactive and helpful, creates a memorable experience stay for guests from arrival, during the stay, through to departure. What will I be doing? As the Bell Hop, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards: - Meeting and proactively greeting guests on their arrival at the hotel. - Delivering and collecting luggage and items to, from, and between guests' rooms. - Deliver all luggage and items to the guest rooms within the expected delivery time. - Opening and closing car doors at the hotel driveway. - Directing traffic and maintain an orderly driveway - Managing the parking space in the hotel driveway. - Arrange and book transportation for guests. - Be aware of all events, conferences, and group movements in the hotel. - Familiar with hotel operating system especially HotSOS. - Maintain in-depth technical knowledge and skills required for the job. - Understand relevant Health & Safety legislations and their implications on the operation of the department. - Ensure that safe and healthy working practices are implemented at all times. - Adhere to the hotel's security and emergency policies and procedures. - Carry out any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as assigned. - The Management reserves the right to make changes to this job description at its sole discretion and without advance notice. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow: - Physically fit, able to lift more than 30kg weight. - Able to stand for extended periods of time. - Able to work shifts, including overnight shifts. - Flexible and positively respond to changes. - Sense of responsibility and accountability. - Effable and able to maintain excellent relations with team members. - Communicate effectively to internal team members and guest - Ability to solve basic guest service problems and issues. - Good organizational and coordinating skills. - Able to work under great physical and mental pressures. - Actively promote the services and facilities of Hilton hotels to guests and suppliers of the hotel. - Perform all duties and responsibilities in a manner that ensures your safety and that of others in your workplace. - Understand basic spoken English to meet business needs. - Familiar with computer systems preferred.
