This position is located remotely (within the state of California). We are flexible provided you are open to traveling to the Oakland office locations as needed. About Your Work The Provider Business Development Recruiter is responsible for the development and implementation of growth strategies focused on physicians, medical groups, and community-based organizations for Altais as a part of its statewide expansion of networks of care within California. The PBDM will support overall growth strategies by initiating and nurturing relationships with identified partners within designated geographic service areas for focused outreach and development of various capitated and/or fee-for-service statewide, regional and strategic networks for access, cost effectiveness, and network adequacy. The PBDM will collaborate with the Contracting team to finalize agreements with various physicians. The overall goal of the Provider Business Development Recruiter is to increase visibility with primary and specialty physicians in new markets in order to ultimately fulfill an adequate market for Health Plan contracting, increase revenue, and new patient acquisition. The PBDM will also assist leadership with intel related to strategic market development opportunities in a timely manner. The Provider Business Development Recruiter will be accountable for a smooth hand-off of customer service to our provider services team when the network transitions from development to operations. About Your Work Research and devise target list of providers in new markets by specialty. Support strategic growth goals by using market research and data (both internal and external) to draft outreach plans for new and developing markets, including nurturing of physicians in developing markets. Present growth plans, provide timely updates and reporting on progress, review results and modify approach as needed to achieve business objectives. Act as the department's subject matter expert for growth geographies, representing the department as appropriate in internal meetings, and executing specific growth plans that could span multiple product launches and geographies. Maintain timely documentation of outreach efforts within the department's Customer Relationship Management (HubSpot). Actively help execute the team's annual calendar of Provider Business Development events (i.e., Dinners, Cocktail events, meetings, and other, etc.). Work in conjunction with Marketing and Communications departments to formulate and distribute strategic collateral for physician outreach purposes. The Skills, Experience & Education You Bring Must be able to work independently and with a team with minimal supervision and direction. Collaborate with others in the organization to drive incremental provider growth, as needed. Form a strong working knowledge of the primary care and specialty care physician market through direct dialogue with community providers, researching competitors, and utilizing available data to monitor physician networks. Bachelor's degree Business Administration Degree in Healthcare, Marketing, Communications, or business. 5 years + of experience in driving healthcare business development, pharma sales, healthcare device sales, physician relations, and/or network development in a healthcare environment. Must be proficient in MS Office, especially Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel. Excellent verbal communication skills Excellent interpersonal skills Must have demonstrated critical thinking and analytical skills, financial acumen, and proven sales experience. Must be able to work some evenings and weekends. Must be able to travel outside of the office.
