Responsibilities

  • Veterinary Assistant/ Pharmacy Tech
  • Safely and confidently restrain dogs (including large breeds) and cats, even the more "spirited" ones.
  • Assist veterinarians and technicians with patient care and treatments.
  • Support the pharmacy team by preparing and filling medications, maintaining inventory, and becoming familiar with common veterinary medications and protocols.
  • Help ensure prescriptions are accurately labeled and ready for client pick-up while following clinic safety procedures.
  • Keep the clinic organized, clean, and running smoothly.
  • Arrive on time and be dependable-our patients (and team!) count on you.
  • Be open to jumping in and helping with other tasks as needed.
  • Educating and communicating with clients on basic pet care in person and on the phone.

Requirements

  • Experience working with animals in a veterinary setting preferred (1-2 years ideal).
  • Ideally enrolled in a Veterinary Technician program.
  • Comfortable handling animals of all sizes and temperaments.
  • Strong attention to detail, especially when assisting with medications and pharmacy support tasks.
  • Organized and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • A team player with a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Comfortable working around the occasional strong odors and noises that come with caring for animals. The role may also involve exposure to bites, scratches, animal waste, and some contagious conditions-but we provide training and safety precautions to help keep you protected.

  • Pay Range: $18 to $24/hr based on level of experience
