About this roleResponsible for planning, developing, implementing, and evaluating clinical skills labs and simulations in conjunction with the health sciences and nursing departments. Responsible for the set-up, operation, maintenance, and repair of lab and simulation equipment.What a day of a Clinical Skills Coordinator looks like:Stages practice modules, clinical simulations, and skills labs. Provides instruction on lab and mannequin usage to students.Operates simulation mannequins. Controls mannequin vitals, reactions, and other functions based on actions taken during the simulation.Collaborates with faculty and academic leadership team to design, develop, and implement professional programming in support of academic and student success. Trains faculty on simulation lab operation.Maintains inventories of equipment, supplies, and materials.Performs routine maintenance and repairs of equipment. Coordinates the repair or replacement of broken equipment and any regular maintenance requirements by vendors.Prepares required reports for various internal and external requests. Designs and creates training content and materials for topic presentations.Maintains and performs in a safe workplace and follows established safety practices.Research, evaluate, and recommend new lab materials, equipment, and supplies.Maintains current knowledge of field or profession. Travels to training workshops, conferences, meetings, and professional events outside of college locations, as needed.Performs other job-related duties as assigned.We'd love to hear from you if you have the following:Education and Experience:Associate's degree and one year of related experience; ORHigh school diploma or GED and three years of related experienceKnowledge of:Medical simulation software and applicationsMicrosoft Office Professional or similar applicationSkilled in:Attention to detail while maintaining effective time and task managementAbility to:Organize and prioritize multiple, competing priorities to maximize personal and team effectivenessEffectively communicate verbally and in writing on a regular basis with internal and external customers, build relationships, manage customer expectations, and take responsibility for a high level of serviceLicenses, Registration, Certifications, or Special Requirements:Regular physical attendance requiredLicensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Florida; ORLicensed as a Paramedic in the State of FloridaPreferred, but not a must:Experience in a clinical settingWork Environment and Physical Demand:Lift, carry, push, pull, install or remove objects weighing up to 20 poundsLift, carry, push, pull, install or remove objects weighing 20 to 49 poundsLift, carry, push, pull, install or remove objects weighing in excess of 50 poundsReach and grasp objectsStoop, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawlStand for extended periods of timeUse of video display terminalUse of manual dexterity and fine motor skillsCommunicate information orally and in writingReceive and understand information through oral and written communicationProofread and check documents for accuracyWork with equipment or perform procedures where carelessness may result in injuryExperience exposure to uncomfortable work environment due to extreme temperature, noise level, and other conditionsRisk for occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogensWork a fluctuating work scheduleThe minimum base pay for this position starts at $25.81 per hour; however, the offer may vary based on the candidate's education and experience.This position is open until filled with an initial review daHealth insuranceVision insurance
