We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Component DFM Engineering Technician to join our team in Seberang Prai Batu Kawan, Malaysia. Responsible to review and validate the new component request whether it is conformance to internal process requirements and other DFM criteria. Responsible to review, validate and buyoff for 2nd/ALT source versus the primary source in term of DFM perspective. Able to perform DFM assessment on components with respect to packaging structure, process interaction and reliability. Involve in NUDD assessment focusing on components and could be extended to complete product PCBA level. Perform Design for Assembly (DfA) & Design for Mechanical Assembly (DfMA) assessment to ensure product meets all assembly criteria with no quality issue. Establish DfMA framework that extends the coverage to all mechanical aspect including material selection, thermal dependency, new technology etc. Knowledge in SolidWorks application is an added advantage. Support Lab activities such as monitor the yearly/regular PM and CAL for each measurement machine and system. REQUIRED: Diploma in Electrical and Electronics or Mechanical Engineering. Minimum 2+ years of experience in electronic manufacturing industry. Basic knowledge of engineering principles and material properties. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. PREFERRED: Process knowledge in SMT assembly. Proficiency in data analysis and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Demonstrate willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
