Introduction We're looking for a Mechanical Support Specialist for our FLSmidth Service Center in Hibbing, Minnesota which will support our customers in the area. You'll be part of the FLSmidth Service Centers network and Pumps, Cyclones and Valves (PCV) team., supporting our products with rebuilds and technical assistance. Your responsibilities / Key accountabilities: Promote a "safety first" culture by active participation at safety toolbox meetings, continuous evaluation of the work site for potential hazards or unsafe actions, use of proper Personal Protective Equipment "PPE" to the site or work to be performed, and reporting near misses/hazards, accidents, or injuries (no matter the severity) and identify unsafe equipment/work per company guidelines. Perform quality work by following instructions and procedures. Practice tool management by properly using and caring for tools and equipment. Read drawings to complete rebuild jobs. Manage warehousing activities keeping parts stock according to the inventory. Maintain tools and equipment at the shop in proper condition. Support technically FLSmidth products visiting customers in the area. What you bring: Preferred is 5 years of experience performing mechanical construction or mechanical repairs of industrial process equipment. Able to perform metal working techniques (grinding; cutting; welding) and alignment methods to efficiently deliver a consistent level of quality. Capable of using a computer and software systems (MS-Office, MS-Project, Adobe, and similar). Willingness to travel and work with a team of professionals. Pump rebuilds experience. Ability to prioritize work, coordinate multiple projects, and work in a fast-paced environment. Strong interpersonal, influence, and conflict-resolution skills.
