Responsibilities

  • Strategic Architecture & Design:
  • Lead the design and implementation of enterprise middleware architectures that are scalable, resilient, and aligned with business goals.

  • Security & Compliance:
  • Design and implement security protocols, including SSL/TLS, access controls, and compliance standards.
  • Conduct security audits, vulnerability assessments, and implement remediation plans.
  • Performance Monitoring & Optimization:
  • Set up monitoring, logging, and alerting for middleware systems to ensure high availability and performance.
  • Analyze and troubleshoot performance bottlenecks, implementing long-term solutions.
  • Cloud & Hybrid Integration:
  • Extend middleware solutions into cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, IBM Cloud) with hybrid architectures.
  • Optimize deployment strategies for cloud scalability, security, and cost-efficiency.
  • Leadership & Collaboration:
  • Act as a technical mentor for junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning.
  • Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Influence technical strategy and participate in enterprise architecture reviews.
  • Innovation & Continuous Improvement:
  • Keep abreast of emerging middleware, cloud, and automation technologies.
  • Evaluate and recommend new tools, practices, and frameworks to improve operational efficiency and reliability.
  • Essential Skills & Experience:
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience managing enterprise middleware environments, with deep expertise in IBM WebSphere Application Server (traditional & Liberty), Apache Tomcat, Mulesoft (Anypoint Platform).
  • Proficiency in managing middleware on Linux/Unix platforms with scripting expertise (Shell, Python, PowerShell).
  • Strong knowledge on Infrastructure, network and security concepts.
  • Strong background in middleware architecture, including clustering, load balancing, high availability, and disaster recovery.
  • Experience deploying middleware solutions in cloud or hybrid environments.
  • Proven ability to automate deployment, configuration, and operational tasks using automation tools (Ansible, Chef, Puppet, etc.).
  • Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and DevOps pipelines.
  • Solid understanding of enterprise security practices, SSL/TLS, and compliance standards.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, performance tuning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.

  • EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or any other related discipline or equivalent related experience.
  • Preferred Certifications:
  • Salesforce Certified Administrator
  • Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA)
  • Microsoft Certified IT Professional
  • ITIL, ITSM Certifications
  • WORK EXPERIENCE:
  • 4+ years of directly-related or relevant experience, preferably in application support or system/application/database administration.
