Responsibilities

• As a transportation clerk, you'll be part of our team located in Jackson, TN. You'll get to:
• Perform wave planning of orders using Warehouse Management System (WMS)
• Run TPS schedules and release routed shipments to WMS
• Utilize JDA for transportation planning and execution tasks
• Generate daily, weekly, and monthly transportation reports
• Book and assign backhaul truckload shipments
• Book and assign collect shipments via customer web-based applications
• Respond to customer service inquiries regarding shipments
• Track shipments and resolve any delays
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 4 years' experience in an automated distribution environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook) and Internet Explorer
• Experience operating standard office equipment (fax, copier, printer, postage meter, etc.)
• Familiarity with Six Sigma methodologies preferred
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently
• Experience with WMS, SAP, LMS, TPS, and JDA systems preferred
