In this role, the individual will help translate business needs into practical data solutions, strengthen data quality and reporting, and partner across teams to deliver secure, reliable, and efficient outcomes. Skills and Capabilities Technical / Functional Skills Strong data analysis, profiling, and data wrangling skills, with the ability to turn raw data into useful business insight. Intermediate or stronger SQL skills, including writing custom queries to analyze and validate data. Experience with reporting, dashboarding, and data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms. Ability to gather, clarify, and translate business and analytic requirements into practical data solutions. Understanding of data modeling, data mapping, and the flow of data across processes and interfaces. Experience supporting self-service analytics and helping business partners use data more effectively. Working knowledge of secure software and systems engineering practices as they apply to data and analytics solutions. Familiarity with approved analytics, reporting, and emerging AI-enabled tools that improve insight generation and operational efficiency. Non-Technical / Professional Skills Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to identify root causes, evaluate options, and recommend practical solutions. Effective oral and written communication skills, including the ability to explain data findings to both technical and non-technical audiences. Strong collaboration skills and a team-first mindset, with the ability to build relationships and work cross-functionally with stakeholders, product teams, and technology partners. Curiosity and adaptability, with a desire to learn new tools, technologies, and better ways of working. Ability to influence, facilitate discussions, and manage priorities in a fast-moving environment. Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality, accurate work products. Business acumen and the ability to connect data work to business outcomes and decision-making. Responsible and practical use of AI to improve analysis, accelerate insight generation, and identify innovation opportunities while maintaining quality, security, and sound judgment. This position will be hired on a SuccessFlex basis. The hired associate must reside within 35 miles of the following location: Columbus: One Nationwide Plaza, Columbus OH, 43215 Work schedule: (Monday and Tuesday) 2 days in office, 3 days remote. This role does not qualify for employer sponsored work authorization.
