Assistant Manager/ Manager, Design (CaaS, Chiller, Air-Con, SCEM/ 5.5-8K)

About the role

Responsible for leading the design and optimisation of efficient, cost-effective ACMV (chiller plant & airside) systems to support project acquisition and delivery, while ensuring sustainability and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site surveys, feasibility studies, and technical assessments
• Develop and optimise system designs, equipment sizing, and configurations
• Perform energy simulations to evaluate efficiency, cost, and performance
• Support Business Development with technical solutions for tenders and proposals
• Lead Green Mark gap analysis and drive certification strategies
• Manage regulatory approvals, submissions, and grant applications
• Ensure compliance with codes, standards, and sustainability frameworks
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across design, projects, and operations
• Engage stakeholders including clients, authorities, and senior management
• Drive design excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement
• (Senior level) Lead and mentor local & regional design teams

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or sustainability
• 5-10 years of experience (depending on seniority), with team leadership for senior roles
• Certifications: BCA Energy Auditor, SCEM ( GMAP/GMAAP advantageous )
• Excellent expertise in ACMV design, energy optimisation, and simulation tools
• Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
