Role : Inside Sales Engineer - NYC As a part of our Sales team, you will be responsible for quoting, designing, ordering and tracking HVAC equipment and systems for engineering firms and mechanical contractors in the NYC Metro area, Long Island and Westchester. Partnering with an Outside Salesperson(s), you'll help push through deals faster, with more efficiency and precise attention to detail. You'll get exposure to some of the most challenging, complex, and iconic building projects in the New York City and beyond!

Responsibilities

  • You will support / coordinate with your respective Outside Salesperson person(s). This will be your most important collaboration as you will help support their clients, deals and projects.
  • Utilize selection software to create systems for engineers and contractors.
  • Review design plans and provide pricing estimates.
  • Create proposals and generate pricing. You'll incorporate this info into workable proposals for contractors.
  • Order, process and track equipment sales through manufacturers.
  • Follow up to make sure orders go through and track it with adequate lead time.
  • Maintain constant, and clear, communication with clients.
  • Provide packets that describe what equipment is on site, maintenance guides.
  • Coordinate training for equipment or tech services.

Requirements

  • Clear communication. You will be interacting with teammates, manufacturers and clients. Strong written and verbal communication is key.
  • Mechanical Engineering Degree preferred.
  • 1 - 2 years in HVAC industry preferred
  • Familiarity AutoCAD, Revit is a plus but not required
  • Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $79,000, plus bonus, with flexibility based on experience and skills.
