Responsibilities

  • Manage processes for delivering our sustainability-related reporting and disclosures in line with external frameworks (including UK SRS). This includes data collection and verification for all publicly disclosed metrics and targets.
  • Own the management of internal governance, committees, and working groups related to sustainability. This includes preparation of papers, minutes, and actions, including follow-ups with stakeholders.
  • Manage the in-house emissions measurement process and analysis, working closely with Finance and Risk function, to ensure accurate and robust outputs.
  • Manage all charitable and volunteering-related activities and processes. This includes working with our strategic charity partner.

  • Proven experience in sustainability, ideally within financial services
  • Flexibility, resilience, being self-sufficient and able to work well under pressure with often changing priorities.
  • Excellent analytical and technical skills
  • Self-starter and able to work independently in a fast-moving environment with colleagues at all levels.
  • Good communications skills- high standard of written communications and presentation production, and attention to detail
  • Strong organisational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects efficiently

Additional Information

This role will support the delivery of Shawbrook's sustainability strategy by working closely with the bank's Head of Sustainability within the Chief of Staff Office. This is a cross-functional role which will play a critical role in implementing, measuring, and reporting on Shawbrook's sustainability strategy, including collaborating closely with key internal and external stakeholders.
