Department/Unit: Medicine - Community Endocrinology Work Shift: Day (United States of America) Salary Range: $77,075.00 - $119,466.00 The Educator uses the educational design process to close the knowledge, skills, and/or practice gaps identified through needs assessment and to impact evidence-based practice. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Contributes to the professional development of others and supports life-long learning as individuals transition across learning/practice environments, and professional roles. Applies a systematic process to shift individuals, teams, and organizations from current state to desired state and close performance gaps. Applies a variety of learning technologies to address learning and performance needs, encourage knowledge sharing, and promote collaboration. Provides leadership to project and learning activity implementation, scientifically measuring the impact on organizational goals. Helps establish and participates in an education program teaching self-control skills to persons with diabetes and their families/ significant others. This education program includes an assessment, individualized implementation plan and follow-up evaluation. Obtain regular continuing education in areas of diabetes management and will also participate in The Endocrine Group's continuous quality improvement process.
