Optometrist (Clinic)

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive eye examinations to assess vision and detect eye conditions.
• Operate ophthalmic diagnostic equipment (e.g. OCT, fundus camera, slit lamp, tonometer, visual field analyser).
• Explain examination findings and recommend suitable optical solutions.
• Refer patients to ophthalmologists when necessary.
• Provide contact lens fitting, education, and aftercare advice.
• Maintain patient records, manage inventory, and ensure proper equipment maintenance.
• Supervise junior staff and support clinic operations as required.

Requirements

• Diploma in Optometry.
• Eligible for provisional, conditional, or full registration with the Optometrists and Opticians Board (OOB) .
• Good clinical, communication, and patient care skills.
