Responsibilities

  • Operational & Technical Oversight
  • Oversee preventive and corrective maintenance for all resort systems including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, mechanical, pools, generators, and energy systems.

  • Sustainability & Energy Efficiency
  • Assist in implementing energy-saving strategies, green initiatives, and environmentally responsible operations.
  • Monitor utilities usage and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
  • Administrative Support & Budgeting
  • Assist in planning annual maintenance budgets and capital expenditure forecasts.
  • Support procurement and inventory control of maintenance supplies and spare parts.
  • Prepare reports and updates for the Director of Engineering on maintenance activities, costs, and project progress.
  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Civil) or equivalent technical training.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of engineering experience , with at least 2 years in a supervisory role within luxury hospitality.
  • Proven experience in resort or hotel engineering systems (HVAC, BMS, kitchen, laundry, pools, lifts).
  • Familiarity with property management systems and preventive maintenance software.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic project planning tools.

Additional Information

You will manage the Engineering department, ensuring the efficient running of the all hotel facilities, including all fire and life safety equipment and systems. It will be your responsibility to plan and manage all preventative maintenance work, new projects, extensions, and renovations. You will be involved in preparing the Engineering budget for the property, and will provide the Engineering knowledge for the hotel strategic and operational plans. You will monitor energy usage in the hotel, and implement initiatives to conserve energy wherever possible.
