About the role

The Program Specialist works under the direction of the Director of Volunteer Engagement and Child Health Resources to implement, coordinate, and evaluate programs within the Family Resource Center. This role supports health education, injury prevention, and family resource initiatives through direct engagement with patients, families, staff, volunteers, and community partners. Responsibilities include program administration, visitor education, inventory management, data management, and continuous quality improvement activities. The Program Specialist maintains current knowledge of evidence-based practices and supports the mission of improving child and family safety, wellness, and access to resources. Additional Information: Coordinates health education programs and training of community partners. Maintains resources for projects, team development, team meetings coordination, data entry and analysis. Also maintains up-to-date knowledge of advances and understanding of injury-related risks and protective factors. Required Education: Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; Or four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Recommended Education: Required Work Experience: Related Field - 2 years of experience Recommended Work Experience: Required Certifications: Drivers License - Arkansas Department of Motor Vehicles Recommended Certifications: 1. Administers programs under direction, including maintenance of best practice knowledge, participant recruitment, training development, and event logistics. 2. Creates community engagement by identifying key stakeholders, building relationships, and participating in or leading community events/activities. 3. Conducts program evaluation, quality improvement and data management. 4. Represents AC in partnerships addressing mechanism-related task forces and coalitions. 5. Performs other duties as assigned.
