What to expect: We are looking for a Quantum IT Project Manager to join our IT Infrastructure Engineering team. You will work at the intersection of IT infrastructure, systems engineering, operations and project delivery, helping the team deliver the internal platforms, tools and infrastructure that support our growing quantum technology organisation. This is not a line management role. Instead, you will operate as a peer to the IT Infrastructure Engineering team, bringing structure, clarity and delivery focus to complex infrastructure projects. You will help define objectives, coordinate resources, track deliverables, manage project standards and make sure the right decisions, risks and dependencies are visible at the right time. What you'll be responsible for: You will take ownership of the project rhythm across key IT infrastructure initiatives, working closely with the Head of IT and the wider IT Infrastructure Engineering team to translate priorities into clear plans and measurable outcomes. You will help ensure the team has the structure, visibility and coordination needed to deliver reliable systems and scalable infrastructure for a fast-moving technical environment. This will include leading planning and delivery across systems, platforms, tooling and internal services, while coordinating work across IT Infrastructure Engineering, security, operations, facilities and wider business stakeholders where required. You will track progress, manage risks and blockers, and make sure completed work is properly documented, transitioned and embedded into operational processes. Key responsibilities will include: - Developing clear project plans with defined objectives, actions, owners, timelines, risks and dependencies - Coordinating technical workstreams across IT infrastructure, systems, platforms and internal services - Tracking project progress, deliverables and blockers, escalating risks and decisions at the right time - Helping to define and maintain standards for project documentation, reporting, handover and operational readiness - Producing clear updates for the Head of IT and senior stakeholders, with a focus on progress, risk, priority and decision-making You will bring experience managing complex IT infrastructure, systems or platform projects in a technical environment. This could include projects across cloud infrastructure, networks, identity and access management, endpoint management, security tooling, internal systems, workplace technology, infrastructure upgrades or business-critical platform rollouts. You will be comfortable working with infrastructure engineers and technical stakeholders, with enough technical understanding to ask the right questions, identify dependencies and translate technical detail into clear plans and actions. You do not need to be the deepest technical expert in the room, but you will need to understand how IT infrastructure projects move from scoping through to delivery, documentation and operational handover. We are looking for someone who can bring practical project management structure without slowing down a fast-moving technical team with unnecessary process. Experience in a scaling technology, engineering, scientific or regulated environment would be valuable, as would exposure to modern workplace infrastructure and the systems used to support a growing organisation. You should bring: - Experience managing IT infrastructure, systems, platform or technical operations projects - Good working knowledge of project planning, risk management, dependency tracking and stakeholder reporting - Confidence working with technical teams and translatin
