About the role

The Division of Economic and Risk Analysis is seeking two Financial Analysts (Financial Markets Research and Data Analyst). As a Financial Markets Research and Data Analyst, you will join a team that provides statistical analysis in rulemaking economic analyses in asset management, corporate finance, and financial intermediaries, develops and updates the SEC's public Statistics & Data Visualizations webpage, and produces statistical reports to stakeholders across the agency. Time-in-grade for this announcement is one year at the GS/SK-13 level. Applicants are responsible for confirming all required materials are submitted by the closing date of the announcement. Qualifying experience may be obtained in the private or public sector. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. All qualification requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement. MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENT: SK-14: Applicant must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS/SK-13 level: Analyzing financial or economic data to inform rulemaking or analytical reports; Producing technical documents including statistical methodology and advanced computer programs for data analysis, and Communicating data analysis findings clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
